Comments Accusations Statements

Many people have been contacted to provide information and statements about Thor Bloomfield in their own words. The following are a selection of those statements where some wished to remain anonymous.

“I lived with him in Africa for 2 months. My lady was pregnant at the time with our 1st baby …”

“I think he’s a scammer.”

Michael revealed they went to school together, grew up in the same country town and their families knew each other. He mentioned he lived together with Thor and his Ugandan partner Dianah in Nairobi, Kenya, for 2 months.

Thor arranged to sell Michael’s 2019 BMW motor vehicle in Australia with his mutual friend John Pulbrook of Glen Waverley Melbourne and Sydney. John’s company is Brook and Harris pty ltd and John said he could sell it easily in 3-5 days and get a cash price – upon approval John picked up the car quickly within hours. 2 months later with Victoria Police inquiries and 20 failed sale attempts there was still no sale. Michael’s car ended up with John’s friend Arz Alex Masri of Narree Warren Melbourne, a convicted criminal according to Victoria Police and without Michael’s authorization. Subsequently Michael’s car was transferred at Vicroads without payment. His signature was forged on the vehicle transfer form.

Thor flew home to Melbourne shortly before XMAS 2023 and informed Michael 2 hours before his flight. Thor’s mission was to help return the stolen car and funds and clean up the mess. When Michael returned to Australia 6 months later, without any car updates from Thor for 5 months, he went to speak with the purchaser of the car. The purchaser told him cash was paid for the car and Thor insisted on receiving cash and didn’t want phone messages exchanged. The purchaser said there was something unusual about Thor – he was different. When Michael questioned Thor about the car sale, he said he saw no money.

When Michael returned to Australia, Thor said they’d go to the police together and make a report together. This never happened and Thor showed no proactive interest in helping. Michael again asked Thor to help him with a Statutory Declaration form – Thor 1st provided an unsigned, undated and unspecific email without any detail. He later provided a PDF form. Michael asked Thor to sign it – he refused. Thor declared he was unemployed and self-signed the declaration (apparently Thor is qualified to sign Stat Decs, according to himself). Though unemployed his LinkedIn profile says he is a Property Development Superconnecter and currently Chief Investment Strategist at Bloomfield Capital Investments (empty website). He is also currently:

  • Chief Executive Officer, Bloomfield Hotels.
  • Director, Sphere Hub.
  • Director, Melbourne & Brisbane Management Rights.
  • Senior Executive, MTB Development Consultants.

Michael eventually confronted Thor about his past and his father Earl De Blonville (born Earle Robert Bloomfield) aka Tom Chaffey. Subsequently Thor’s demeanour rapidly changed. He became aggressive, spoke in logical fallacies, appealed to emotion, demanded phone calls and claimed harassment when Michael and another mutual school friend went to speak with his parents. Thor said he reported Michael to the police.

Michael suffered ID theft throughout the stolen car snafu. Phone accounts and email accounts were created in his name. Virgin High Flyer and Citibank Prestige credit cards were applied for in his name. 20 minutes after sending Thor his driver license for the sale, email alerts were received from Clearscore alerting him of credit file activity inquiries.

Michael is over $40,000 in debt, including legal fees to this day, for breach of contract and theft by deception.

Michael went on to share a childhood photo – Thor 2nd right, Michael 4th right:

“He stole money from my sponsors and over promised the world.”

“Everyone who I got involved in our race team he now owes over $300k too.”

“He owes me about $25k.”

“If you’ve known him since high school, you’d already know what he’s like, and stayed very far away from him.”

“I wasn’t one of the lucky ones to get that whatsapp asking people to invest in gold …”

“I’d heard he had embezzled a lot of people …”

“You’re not the first person whose asked me about him for similar stuff …”

“What you deserve………nothing”

“He’s a conman that tried to do some dodgy deals … out of nowhere [he] tried to sell his car and vanished.”
